A couple of years ago, my coin-collecting son gave me a Krohn, a coin from the Netherlands, and joked with me saying, "Here you go, Mom!  You're a crone now, so I thought you might like to have this coin."  We both started laughing hysterically, and I keep that coin with me in my car for luck.

Not long before receiving my 'Krohn', a retired professor friend of mine said she considered herself a wise crone since she felt strongly that the word c - r - o - n - e stood for 'Creative Researcher of New Experiences.'  I never forgot that statement and loved the way that takes the negative connotation away from the word crone.  Since 2009, I have found myself constantly flexing my crone skills to create, not only new experiences for myself, but brand new methods of solving financial, health and relationship troubles to name just a few.

My handsome adult son asked me for critical help in early 2011, and now late in 2013, he is flourishing in his brand new career in catering.  I coached him in everything from what to wear to an interview, to how to breathe better to allay his frequent anxiety attacks.

Nowadays, he's confident in himself and his abilities, and can conduct his own day-to-day affairs such as rescheduling a dental appointment or even doing his own taxes!  Even better than that, he's able to do all of these things without becoming overwhelmed and/or anxious so much of the time.  He now earns very good money, and just treated himself to a new laptop computer using some of his college grant money!  Yes, he's in college too; truly a mother's dream come true!
